FORWARD TOGETHER

A simple truth lies at the heart of everything I believe: Strong communities don’t just happen.

They are built—by people who care. By neighbors who check in on one another. By parents who volunteer at local schools. By sharing from our own abundance, and asking for help when we need it. By gardening together and enjoying playgrounds, dog parks, and greenspaces together. By everyday people who decide that where they live should be safe, welcoming, and filled with opportunity.

Community building isn't just about block parties or clean-up days—though those matter. It’s about creating spaces where everyone feels they belong. It’s about fostering trust, lifting each other up, and making sure no one gets left behind.

And safety? Safety is the foundation of that vision. Because no child should grow up afraid to walk to school. No family should feel unsafe in their own home. A safe neighborhood is a thriving neighborhood, and that starts with all of us—working hand in hand with local leaders, first responders, educators, and each other.

When we invest in each other, we create more than just safer streets—we create futures. We create hope. We center justice. We move forward, together.

Together, We Can Build a City We’re Proud to Call Home

This campaign is not just about politics—in fact, it’s mostly NOT about politics at all. It’s about people.

It’s about the parents who want to see their children grow up in a safe and supportive neighborhood. It’s about the families who are tired of worrying about crime on their streets. It’s about the neighbors tired of drivers racing through our streets with no regard to safety and consequences. At the end of the day, it’s about the residents who are fed up with empty promises and who demand real, accountable leadership. That resident is me, and I’ve heard from many of you that I’m not alone.

I am committed to working tirelessly, fighting for what's right, and making our city a better place for all. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued.

Here are some priorities that reflect my personal values. Please don’t hesitate to share with me the things that are important to you and your family.

1. Safer Streets for Every Family

Safety is not a luxury—it is a right. As a mom, I know the worry that comes with sending your kids out the door. I will work tirelessly to ensure our streets are safe for everyone. This means:

  • Supporting legislation focused on public infrastructure, streetscape projects, and neighborhood calming measures to help create safer spaces for walking, biking, and recreation to help improve public safety.

  • Increasing investment in local police and community safety programs that prioritize de-escalation, crime prevention and intervention, building relationships between law enforcement and residents, and reducing 911 response times.

  • Coordinating with neighborhood associations and neighborhood safety committees to encourage citizen engagement, working to problem solve with those closest to the issues.

  • Supporting the creation of safe zones for youth and advocating for recreation center funding where they can engage in positive activities and mentorship programs.

2. Building Stronger, More Connected Communities

A connected community is a thriving community. Our neighborhoods should be places where people know each other, support one another, and work together for the common good. To achieve this, I will:

  • Enhance recreational spaces, playgrounds, gardens, and community centers where families can gather, children can play, and neighbors can unite.

  • Foster partnerships with local businesses, schools, and churches to create stronger, more supportive community networks.

  • Host regular town halls and attend neighborhood meetings where residents can voice concerns and help guide decision-making.

  • Support affordable housing initiatives to ensure that families, regardless of income, can build roots in our neighborhoods.

3. Transparency and Honesty in Government

As a Missourian, honesty and transparency are values I hold dear, and they are essential for rebuilding trust in government. I am committed to:

  • Being open and accessible with residents at every step. You will always know where I stand and how your concerns are being addressed.

  • Holding city departments accountable for their actions and spending, ensuring that every dollar is used wisely to benefit our community.

  • Publicly sharing key decisions and outcomes, so you can be fully informed about policies that affect your family, your neighborhood, and our city.

  • Fighting for honest budgeting—we need to make sure that money is being spent where it matters most: public safety, basic services, and neighborhood development.

4. Fighting for What’s Right, No Matter the Challenge

As a mom, I’m working hard to teach my child to stand up for what’s right, even when it’s hard. In the same way, I will fight for our families and our communities with unwavering determination. This means:

  • Championing environmental policies that protect our city for future generations—because a healthy city is a safe city.

  • Advocating for policies that support working families—from affordable childcare to fair wages, I’ll fight to ensure our families have what they need to thrive.

  • Standing up for the most vulnerable—whether it’s fighting for mental health resources, supporting at-risk youth, or ensuring seniors are cared for, I will ensure that no one is left behind.

  • Fighting for equity and justice in all city policies, ensuring that every family, regardless of background or ZIP code, has access to opportunity, resources, and safety.

5. Empowering Parents, Empowering Families

As a parent, I understand the importance of having a voice in the decisions that impact our children. I am committed to:

  • Advocating for stronger family-friendly policies, including improved public education, access to affordable healthcare, and after-school programs.

  • Engaging with parents, teachers, and community leaders to ensure that our schools are safe, well-funded, and offer the best opportunities for our kids.

  • Supporting family-oriented economic initiatives, such as small business grants and job training programs, so parents can provide for their families and strengthen our local economy.
